Polyphonic ringtones


Cell phone polyphonic ringtones or MIDI ringtones are just like regular ringtones, but they sound more like music. The MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) format enables the creation of polyphonic musical compositions with differnet sounds. Polyphonic means that multiple tones can be played at the same time using instrument sounds such as guitar, drums, electronic piano, etc. Cell phone polyphonic ringtones can play several notes and sounds simultaneously, allowing for more harmonized tunes.

Poly 16 means that the phone can play 16 notes at the same time! Depending on your phone it supports playback for polyphonic MIDI level 16, 24, 40 etc. content (playback of 16, 24 or 40 simultaneous notes).
