Ringtone converter
Ringtone converters are programs that converts ringtones between different formats
so that you can keypress or transfer (with a datacable or infrared
connection) ringtones to your mobile phone. Some web sites also offer
online convertors and some programs allow you to convert MIDI into
RTTTL.
The common ringtone converters supports ringtone file export
to: Nokring, eMelody V1.0 (.emy), iMelody V1.2 (.imy), RTTTL, My Melody,
Kyocera (.kws), Samsung PCLink (.amf), Motorola binary (*.vrt), Nokia
binary, wave (.wav), Smaf (.mmf) and Midi (.mid) file formats.
Note!
When you use a ringtone convertor to convert MP3 or wav to midi the quality of the ringtone suffers. MIDI is a much lower quality sound format than MP3 or WAV. A format change with a ringtone convertor from mp3 or wav to midi is going to degrade the recording. There are however numerous "midi converters", "mp3 converters" or "wav converters" available. Use Google to find them!
